1. Tuaran Hanging Bridge

The hanging bridge is located in Tuaran market itself. The hanging bridge is stretched across the Tuaran river and connect to the other side of the kampung. Villagers like farmers, school kids and worker often seen using the bridge to get to the other side. As far as i know it has been there for more than 40 years. While others are using it like their life depend on it, I was there jumping and run across the bridge when i was way younger and got chase away by the people using it. Those were the good old days. :)

2. Tuaran Sunday Market

Tuaran Sunday market is open from 5am-1pm and you can find all sort of things over there. I talked about the food you must try over there on my previous post . You can experience the local culture and daily life at Sunday Market. Best go before 10am or 11 am to avoid the heat.

3. Pagoda San Ling Tuaran

Build in the middle of 90s, this 10 stories tall pagoda cost about rm5 million and took a couple of year to complete. It is so tall that you could even see Yayasan Sabah tower from the topmost floor. The view from the top most floor is magnificent. From the west side you can see the entire little busy Tuaran town and from the east side you can see the majestic Mount Kinabalu.

4. Salut Coconut Pudding

There is nothing better than to eat cold and refreshing coconut pudding under the hot scorching sun. It's located 20 minutes away from Tuaran and you will pass by it using the new road through crocodile farm. The pudding serve in coconut is RM4 and it's RM2 in cup which allows you to take away easily.

5. Tuaran Crocodile Farm

Home to hundreds over crocodiles, crocodile farm is located on the way to Rasa Ria Shangrila resort and Salut Kelapa. Besides crocodiles, there are other animals and you're allow to feed them with the food provided. There are cultural shows and crocodile shows exhibiting local dance and daredevils stuns performing with huge 12 feet crocodiles.

6. Rumah Terbalik / Upside-Down House

The one and only in south east Asia and also the first in Malaysia, Upside down house has become phenomenal and thousand over flock over to Sabah to have a look at the unique house. I was there months after it was open and i would suggest you to come visit this place because it's 15 minutes away from Tuaran.

7. Borneo Kellybays Tuaran

Located after crocodile farm Kellybay is the latest Borneo paradise attract open earlier in the year 2012. Borneo Kellybays, the Borneo’s Mystical Paradise is located within a mangrove forest with a beach that stretches 7 km long overlooking the South China Sea and yet to be discovered by the local Sabahans. And now, we are offering a unique double opportunity for visitors to experience life in the mangrove forest and river while at the same time enjoy the sea breeze and sun bathe at the beach. You can ultimately enjoy yourself beside the river on hanging hammock while sipping on coconut juice. They also provide water sports and team building activities for families.

8. Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort

5 star resort Rasa Ria Shangrila resort is located 10 minutes away from Tuaran. As a child i always went there to play at the beach and enjoy my weekend holiday there. They renovated and improve the resort in the mid of 2012. This could be one of the best place for sweet escape from busy KK city. Plan along with a group of friends and escape to the wonder of nature that Rasa Ria has to provide for you.
